I picked Jim Starrett up at the airport and I liked him immediately. He reminds me of a cowboy artist, like William T. Wiley. Very folksy and down home. He tells me he lived in New York for a while as he used to be married to Pat Steir. He makes drawings that are very gestural. He’s planning to make one into a print.

I just picked Victor Burgin up at the airport. He seems quite formal. He’s British- youthful, short black hair, well-groomed. He’s coming to give a talk and make a photographic edition.
